I am not sure what to title this post, so maybe I won't.  It has taken me a week to be able to write about this and I am still not sure I am ready.  Last week, My little boy (known here as baby J) was diagnosed with Autism.  This is so bittersweet to us.  We have felt for a long time that autism was a possibility for our baby and that he was not getting all the services he needs and a very long day at The Children's Hospital confirmed this for us.  I can't say now the work begins, because it has been work for a long time already but this definitely sheds a different light on things.  Autism is very complicated and so are the treatment options, really there is not treatment for it.  People are all over the place on how they look at autism and what they believe about it and I don't want to tell anyone what to believe, but just ask for support on this journey of ours.

Termination of parent rights was decided today for baby J, he is now legally free for adoption.  We will begin the process right away, but it still may be awhile before he is officially ours.  I will keep you all updated as we move through this process.  Thank you for your prayers!
