Dance Recital

This years spring dance recital was June 20th.  Abi who completed her 8th year of dance this year, danced in two dances.  "Tiny Dancer" for ballet and "Grease Mix" for tap.  Dori completed her 2nd year of dance and her class did a jazz dance from the movie "Sister Act".   Both girls did a great job and have improved a lot this year.

The first weekend in June, we rented a 3 bedroom cabin at the YMCA in Estes Park, CO and took all 7 kids up to celebrate our 15the Wedding Anniversary.

When we started doing foster care 2 1/2 years ago, we had no plans to adopt.  But then we fell in love.  Jesse came to live with us in August of 2010 at 13 months old.  Jesse has septo-optic dysplasia and is autistic.  He is now almost 3.  A few days before Thanksgiving 2011, Jesse's biological mom, made the decision that she would like Jason and I to parent Jesse.  On April 2nd 2012, her parental rights and those of Jesse's biological father were terminated.  We believed we would be able to start the adoption process right away, last week we were told that the termination was being contested.  Jesse's team tells us not to worry, Jesse WILL be our son.
God has taught me patience through this.  Maybe we will be able to adopt Jesse by Christmas, maybe not.  Either way, Jesse is our son and always will be.
